Building Stronger Businesses Together: Highlights from Our Customer Forum

At Memphis Microfinance Bank, we believe that banking goes beyond transactions — it’s about empowering our customers with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive. That’s why we recently hosted a Customer Forum, bringing together selected customers for an interactive training session designed to strengthen financial awareness and business growth.

The event began with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Egbekun Victoria, Head of Internal Control, Audit, and Compliance, who introduced the bank and its management team to participants. She also presented the bank’s wide range of products, giving customers a clearer understanding of the solutions available and helping them identify those best suited to their businesses and financial needs.

Following her presentation, the Managing Director/CEO, Mrs. Akinde Funmilayo, delivered an inspiring speech that covered key areas of financial literacy and customer empowerment.

  • Provide accurate details (including guarantors)
  • Report unethical practices or errors

4. Safety Tips to Protect Yourself

  • Keep your PIN secret
  • Set transaction limits on your account
  • Safeguard your BVN and SIM card
  • Block your debit card if misplaced
  • Report scams to the authorities immediately

5. Business Success Tips

  • Avoid diversion of funds
  • Keep proper sales records
  • Separate business and personal expenses
  • Cultivate a savings culture

Engaging with Customers

The interactive session gave customers the opportunity to ask questions, with responses provided to their full satisfaction. Customers in attendance were also given the privilege to apply for loan products on the spot, with immediate disbursement carried out to support their businesses without delay.
